Columbia Steak Express in Lexington

I am an ex employee here. This place is nasty. 75 on their health code score but should be closed. If you want gnats chopped up with your tomatoes then eat here. Dishes hardly get washed. Meat sits out. Nothing is properly cleaned. Literally nothing. Save yourself the diarrhea and E. coli and avoid columbia’s 🤢

It was the worst that I have had from any columbias I was suppose to get a Diego salad but it was nothing but lettuce and foced tomatoes a 2slices of radishes no celery was charged extra fp another dressing I could see 25 cents but not a dollop ar the steak was over cooked asked for medium and got well done. The potato was not cooked s0toll hard in the middle just bad all the way around and the price you pay for a nighthawk special it should be fine rigjt

Ordered 2 specials last night, one medium well, one well, the medium well was cooked more than the well!!, it was almost medium rare, but have to say even if it had been cooked right , only 1/4 was edible, it was all grizzle. And we love Columbia’s but the last 2 times steak had been chewy, grizzly, or not cooked as asked, some ppl do like their steak well done, it’d be nice if you got it like that,, no more express for us, at least in the eat in you can have them cook it more, I’m 30 minutes away so can’t happen with express, also salad, had 1 radish. A few tomatoes and the rest just lettuce with some of it darkened in color, very disappointed in Columbia’s last night

Got the Night hawk Special, always amazing!

First time I;ve ever ordered from Columbia's Express, but I have eaten at the other locations many, many, many times. Took a little longer to arrive than they said. The driver was blasting some radio talk show so loud the whole neighborhood could hear it. The food was almost cold. The steak, ordered medium, was well done and tough. And, even though I ate less than 1/4 of the meal, I ended up with food poisoning symptoms this morning...could be a coinicidence, but I don't think so. I will not order again.

I used to work at Columbia Express. I love their food and they deserve better than 3.1 star definetely. I understand time to time it is hard to catch the standards but night hawk special is one of my favorite food in Lexington.

Best place to eat and I'm so happy they deliver! Now I can have it even more and I'm always telling people to eat there because I'm Hooked! 😄

Night Hawk Special steak was perfect and baked potato was hot and thoroughly cooked, However, the last two times I've ordered corn pudding, it was awful, like they forgot the eggs and used water instead. Please, check your recipe and re-teach the person making the Corn Pudding how it used to be made. It's really unedible the way it was tonight-too runny and tasteless.

Always nice and great food

Always good food. I had a cheeseburger with potato salad and broccoli casserole. Loved all of it. Well worth the price.

We ordered lunch for 5 people delivered to our business, all paying separately. Everyone was pleased with the food and we appreciated being able to each pay the driver with our cards and cash. This was my first time eating Columbia Steak and it won’t be the last. I had a plain burger with Swiss and their vegetable of the day which was steamed broccoli. Both were terrific and the burger was even larger than what I wanted for lunch. I thought about ordering the fried fish sandwich and decided it probably wouldn’t travel well. Glad I went with the burger. This was a great experience. Better experience than ordering Panera and much tastier than Jimmy Johns.

My steak is always cooked perfectly and the delivery is always fast and efficient!!

I order from here regularly. I really love the food but it's always lukewarm when I get it. I pretty much always have to reheat my food once it gets here. If they have so much business that they can't get my burger here in under an hour, they should hire more drivers.

Ordered chicken tenders with onions rings, food was pretty good, definitely not the same as fast food. Delivery guy was smart and nice.

Okay. So y'all know the saying, "don't order chicken at a steakhouse" okay, don't. Because the chicken wasn't that good. However, the sirloin steak waa amazing.! It tasted like we got it at a sit-in restaurant. The fries were mushy, but the mac and cheese and loaded backed potatoe was GRAND.

Friday night we drove about 45 minutes to Southland Dr. on a whim, got home and enjoyed a near perfect meal, next time it won’t be such a long wait between visits!

Will never order again. Tell us 30 minutes. An hour and 1/2 later, we get our order. No salads and totally wrong sides. Very disappointed.

2 out of 3 steaks were great. Other wasn't edible. Terrible cut of meat, should have been thrown away.....Way too much money for that kind of service/product........

This used to be our go to order place. Well tonight was strike 3. The past 3 times we have ordered it has either been wrong...missings multiple things or just sub par food. I'm going to have to find a new place as tonight I ordered 2 meals and an app and we were missing the sides for the meals. They did bring them after I called but a little to late by that point :(

Service and price was fair but cross contamination of meat isn't good.

The food is amazing but would have given it a 5 if it wasn’t for the poor delivery service we had during lunch time. We waited an hour for it to be delivered.

The food was as I remembered the perfect temperature for my taste.

omg that was the best salad, best corn pudding and the best tenderloin ive ever had lol. and the staff are always super nice. I fet off work late and so usually call close to closing and they are always so nice and reassuring (because I hate calling at 15 til closing but as i said, I can't get off sooner for steak. sure wish i could lol) love this place. love it

We had catering done for our Epoxy Flooring grand opening in Lexington, KY.. The nighthawk special was great, I'm shocked so many people are unhappy with their food. Was one of the best steaks I've ever had, all the employees and customers loved it as well.

Ordered from Grubhub, says they deliver to me but manager said he will not due to area because it is the "ghetto" he was very rude. My order was for $33, if I am so poor, how can I afford steak?

Personally I think the food is great, the people who complain sit at home all day and watch price is right but truth be told 9 out of 10 you're going to get high quality food here and great service from people like Connie and Seth. I'm headed there now to get some tasty tater skins.

We had our meal delivered to the hotel we were staying in. Spoke to Connie and she was very nice when she took our order. They said it would take and hour and was delivered in 30 minutes. Delivery man was very courteous. My husband ordered the Lunch Hot Brown with loaded baked potato and NY cheesecake. Said it was really good! It was so much food, he couldn't eat it all and saved some for later. I ordered potato skins and the Tenderloin Chef Salad. Was delicious and enough food for two! Customer service, delivery experience, food, price: all 5🌟!

I wish I could post a picture of this disgusting bunrt-through-the-core potato corpse they delivered to me... Nit the end of the world, things happen... But then when I call for a refund they only offer me a tiny $2 "credit" -- credit toward my next ruined dinner? No thanks. This place has gone downhill for years and now it's worse than... Literally any olace I can think of that's still open. OH, GOOD NEWS -- I figured out how to post the photo.

Ok so this is usually my go to steak delivery place but tonight, they were not on point. My salad was wilted and steak over cooked. Also, FYI, they charge you for each condiment packet! The manager Kendra said that I was informed of that but I was not! The driver arrived at my house with a more expensive bill and needed to use my cell phone! The manager did say she refunded 1/2 my bill for the troubles but beware when asking for extra condiments!!!!

Easily best steak in town!! AND they bring it to your doorstep!!!!

Placed a order for 3 fish sandwich meals a loaded baked potatoe and dessert..when I got my order I had only 3 sandwichs and a baked potato..there were no condiments for the sandwich or loaded potatoes and I didnt get my dessert. When I called about the matter the lady didnt apologize just said the driver is on his way back with the missing items. I explained that my sandwiches would be cold which they were and she said "if you keep them in the container they should be ok". Well she was wrong they were cold and had to be warmed in the microwave...good to know I wasted $39.00 for a microwave meal!! They need better customer service and she never apologized or offered to compensate me for the cold food so I wont waste more money with them that has to be warmed up in a microwave before I eat it...not for $39 I wont smh
